For our wool pieces from the L’Enchanteur collection, we chose double-sided printing — a rare and demanding technique that ensures vivid, balanced hues no matter how the fabric is worn.

The goal? To keep color radiant and harmonious on both sides — for a scarf that remains flawless in every drape.

A craft of exceptional precision

Double-sided printing means applying the design on both sides of the fabric, with perfect alignment and intensity.
Unlike traditional one-sided printing, which only affects the surface, this technique achieves uniform chromatic density, avoiding fading or translucency.

On wool, single-sided printing often leaves a paler reverse side — a kind of “ghost” version of the pattern. When folded, the difference is visible: one side vivid, the other dull.
That’s where double-sided printing makes all the difference — ensuring identical depth and vibrancy on both sides for uncompromising beauty.

Wool: demanding, but full of promise

The Australian wool used for our L’Enchanteur Bleu Profond and L’Enchanteur Émeraude scarves is fine, supple, and delicately brushed.
Its living, fibrous texture can absorb pigment unevenly, and its open weave may limit color penetration.
Here, double-sided printing works as a perfect balance — enhancing pigment density and ensuring a rich, vibrant color even in the most absorbent areas.

Each hue finds its strength: deep blue remains velvety, emerald green retains its intensity, fuchsia glows beside plum, and orange radiates with light.
